It relies on Hunan University High Efficiency Grinding Engineering Technology Research Center, Hunan Province CNC Precision Grinding Machine Engineering Technology Research Center, Hunan Province Engineering Research Center for High Efficiency Precision Machining of Difficult Materials, Hunan Province Enterprise Technology Center and Academician Expert Workstation, mainly engaged in CNC grinding equipment and intelligent equipment research and development.

The team is located in the key technologies of high-grade CNC machine tools and other industries. It mainly focuses on the processing of hard and brittle thin parts such as commercial electronics, precision bearings and auto parts. It studies precision processing technologies and equipment such as grinding, grinding and polishing, and carries out research on key technologies such as end face intelligent grinding, grinding and polishing, automatic loading and unloading, processing automation and intelligent control, and on-line detection, and develops precision grinding, grinding and polishing equipment. Break through the theory and key technology of high-efficiency precision end grinding CNC machining, solve the technical problems of high-efficiency precision end grinding of thin parts, high-efficiency and high-precision machining of complex surfaces, fill the domestic blank of precision machining equipment such as grinding, grinding and polishing of such parts, break the foreign monopoly on high-end CNC machine tools, and replace imports.

At present, the team has developed a series of end face grinding machine tools, single-sided (double-sided) surface grinding and polishing machines, and magnetorheological polishing machines. Its equipment is in the leading position in the machine tool industry in Hunan Province.
